Last week the John Cook School of Business welcomed 30 high school students to the Third Annual Sports Business Summer Academy. The high school students from around the country had the opportunity to hear from sports business industry leaders and faculty, while also touring St. Louis Rams Park, Saddleback Stables, Chaifetz Arena, KMOX and more.

The John Cook School of Business will host the St. Louis Business Journal Fastest Growing Companies Awards on Friday, June 27. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. with a breakfast reception in the John and Lucy Cook Hall atrium with the awards to follow in the A-B Auditorium. The 25 companies receiving the awards were recently announced, and will be highlighted in a special section of the Business Journal on June 27.

For the second consecutive year, the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) has joined forces with a group of St. Louis area organizations to host the Start it Up St. Louis BizCamp, an interactive business camp for 50 high school youth.

The John Cook School of Business congratulates the 2014 graduating class on their outstanding achievements. This year, there are more than 100 students earning a master’s of business degree, and more than 300 earning their bachelor of business administration.

Billiken Angels Network, the local angel investment group out of Saint Louis University’s John Cook School of Business, today announced it has reached a milestone, having invested over $1 million in local startups over the last 400 days. The Billiken Angels Network infuses both capital and expertise into innovative companies that grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem in St. Louis. The goal of Billiken Angels is to invest in firms of any industry and size that show promise and create a tangible impact in the economy and region.

The John Cook School of Business Master of International Business is launching a new format for fall 2014. The 21- month schedule with new, blended learning formats combines in-class meetings one Saturday each month with virtual coursework: One class on campus is required each month and the second class is virtually delivered with the option to attend on campus.
